On March 6, 2025, design professionals gathered at our Concept 32 showroom in Longmont for a 'Lunch & Learn' event showcasing the latest innovations from FENIX, plus an opportunity to tour the showroom and factory, network with other Interior Designers and Builders, and enjoy a taco bar from Fuzzy’s Tacos. The representatives from FENIX, known for its innovative surfaces used in our kitchen remodels, custom cabinetry, closet and storage solutions, gave a thorough presentation on these materials as well as a hands-on demonstration of the scratch resistance compared to painted and stained panels used in cabinets. Showing the thermal healing nature of the FENIX surface in addition to the ease of cleaning (wiping clean a black Sharpie marker from a white FENIX panel) was impressive to the audience.

As Darren from FENIX noted, these educational sessions are invaluable for Interior Designers and Builders aiming to stay on top of cutting-edge materials and design trends, ensuring they can offer creative, current solutions to their clients. Good questions were directed to the reps which gave an in-depth understanding of how FENIX materials can be utilized in both residential and commercial settings, including kitchens, bathrooms, and closet design.

After the FENIX presentation, Jessie, one of our Concept 32 designers, provided an overview of MaterialBank.com – how it works and why it is very useful for Interior Designers. She walked through her experience with the platform and the samples she received. The Material Bank recycling program for universities was also discussed.

Finally the sample kits were introduced in the Concept 32 / Closet & Storage Concepts branded tote bag with all the contents on display for the audience and why each sample book, brochure and info literature was included. Nearly every manufacturer that Concept 32 works with has something included in the sample kit, making the tote quite comprehensive; the attendees were appreciative of the kit and having these samples all in one place.

Then the group broke for lunch which gave many of the attendees the chance to ask follow-up questions, talk to the Concept 32 designers, get a tour of the factory, then network and talk shop with fellow Interior Design professionals. All in all it was a great event to kick off the year with 29 total attendees. Thanks again to all our guests and the FENIX representatives for the great presentation and information. The next event is already scheduled for Thursday, May 8. So mark your calendars; we will be sharing info soon!
